DEL SESTO BUILING

The university targeted the 1913 landmark downtown building for massive renovations to suit the Department of Information Technology and mandated that the existing Data Center remain operational until the new Data Center could come on line. The phased project included façade repairs, system and infrastructure upgrades, and interior work for four of the building's seven floors.

The building had been chopped up into a jumble of small offices, windows were blocked, and the window walls had been problematic and failing for years. Through all phases Lamborghini/ Feibelman Ltd. led the consultant team through a comprehensive renovation improving infrastructure, skin, and systems. The design includes open floor plans, higher ceilings at the newly engineered window walls, an elevator, and an accessible entrance on Weybosset Street.
